The Promenade Bolingbrook, Bolingbrook, Illinois

Located outside of the city of Chicago, this quaint Village wanted to engage its residents and visitors with reminders of its cultural roots. Within this new LEED® certified development of The Promenade, RSM Design worked directly with the Mayor of Bolingbrook and the Arts Council to research, design, and install unique hand crafted tile plaques. The plaques directly reflect and draw their inspiration from the arts and crafts tradition and prairie style architecture of the area and highlight facts and stories of local artists, poets, writers, and architects. Inspiration from local flora and fauna was also used to develop other graphics installations such as identity elements, tile mosaics, wayfinding signs, and building graphics.
